Carnaval del Pueblo is one of the largest Latin American festivals in Europe and is the highlight of Latin life in London. The Carnaval is usually held on the first Sunday of August. The festivities begin with the float procession from Elephant and Castle to Burgess Park. The float procession is the best part of the Carnaval and is well represented by floats, dancing groups and bands from countries such as Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Cuba, Ecuador, Mexico and Peru.
Burgess park will be converted to one huge outdoor arena with thousands of people enjoying Latin music, dancing and food. There are around four stages in addition to be main stage with the Brazilian stage offering the best entertainment.
